Marina Mindelo was founded in Sept 2005 by Kai Brosmann and Lutz Meyer-Scheel. Both Kai and Lutz have broad experience in sailing, boat and Yacht Services as well as tourism. They have already built and managed the first small marina in Cabo Verde, called PONTAO (Pontoon), adjacent to the passengers pier in Mindelo.

The project is financed by the owners and by German/Australian investors.
The Owners and Investors believe that with the development of an environmentally friendly area for sportsmen, the Marina Mindelo will have a very positive impact on Cape Verde and will create work for at least 20 people in Mindelo .
The project is not only creating direct employment opportunities but will have spin off benefits for local business, such as restaurants, shops, nautical supplies etc.
