General Information

A haven for yachtsmen, amid the old town of Mindelo on the island of St. Vicente, the first marina in Cape Verde offers a sheltered position with plenty of on site services.

Located in Mindelo, the capital of the island of St. Vicente. The Marina will be able to host more than 120 boats, up to 30m in length and 4.5m draft. All the facilities one expects of a state-of-the-art Marina will be available including gas, diesel, water, electricity and a Restaurant.

The international airport of Mindelo is now under construction. As of summer 2007, this will enable yachtsmen to fly directly to their yachts at Marina Mindelo.

Berths will be availble from daily rents up to longterm leases. Prices and Tariffs for long term leases are about 50% of the comparable Marinas in the Mediterranean or Canary Islands.

Access to the marina is via the restored CAIS ALFANDEGA (the old customs jetty), which belongs to the Marina Mindelo, allowing unrestricted movement in and out of the marina independent from low or high water.

Onsite marina services will include GRP boat repairs, marine engineering, rigging, brokerage, chandlery and sailmaker. A nearby shipyard can slip yachts of 100 tons dw.

Chez Luz, our restaurant, will be situated on the first floor of the building at the seaside of the jetty, with a wonderful view of the marina and the open seas in front of the old town of Mindelo. The restaurant will offer both traditional Cape Verdian and continental dishes. WC´s and showers are located in the lower part of the building.
